bittersweet

Decided on whim (and after several red, painful pod sites) to take a mini-break from the OmniPod. I'm hoping my Lantus dose still is somewhat accurate (eek!), and am going to go hog wild with my pumpless day: sleeping in whatever position I fancy! wearing clothes with no odd lumps! and doing lots of injections!?

But I will be using my OmniPod to calculate all of my boluses, heaven forbid I go back to my shoddy math and wild dose guesses. It's kind of exciting, after 2 years of pumping, to take a break. But it's also sad, because it's not a break- neither option is without drawbacks and flaws. Still holding out for a cure over here.
